@ Anonymous : You won't know until you try! But seriously, I doubt you have torn your hymen during gymnastics. I used to be very athletic and my hymen remained intact, even after years of competitive track and field, and cycling. AND IF you do bleed, it will only be a drop or two. P.S. Use a condom.

I'll start with this: I had the idea based on what I had read that the Hyman had a slight cycst shape and that it would rupture. But then when I read more about it, I found many opinions out there. So when I approached my weddingvnught and had sex with my husband, I did bleed, but very little. It wasn't like bleeding from a period. We laid a towel on the bed and there some light red/pink spots and that was it. I believe there is more of a mess from personal and added lubricant than blood.
